Our Founders Story

In 1985, Rick Suarez pioneered the television and retail home exercise industry by founding Fitness Quest. His work placed innovative fitness solutions into millions of homes, shaping how people approached exercise throughout the 1980s and 1990s. His products included the Easy Glider skier with Vana White, the Fit One skier with Joe Montana, and Step Aerobics with Jane Fonda. After selling Fitness Quest to Time Warner in 1994, Rick pursued other business ventures before dedicating many years to full-time ministry.

Yet fitness never fully left his calling. ‍

Then a pivotal moment arrived. Rick’s ministry assistant brought him a hand-drawn concept for a new piece of exercise equipment—one that combined three proven training modalities into a single system: a cardio bike, a core stability ball, and resistance bands. Rick’s response was immediate and definitive:

“This is the greatest piece of exercise equipment I have

ever seen—and I’ve seen them all.”

What began as part-time collaboration quickly became a mission. Together, Rick and his assistant designed, engineered, prototyped, and patented what would become the BallBike.

Rick first focus with the BallBike was to open Studio Fit One, a boutique fitness studio. But he had always been passionate about sports. And his children were highly involved with sports as well. That’s when he came to realize the potential for the BallBike to help athletes.

Sports Training Revolutionized

BallBike now offers coaches, trainers, and athletes something that has never existed before.

  • Peak performance training

  • Without impact or injury

  • With a workout athletes want to do

Plus, a better way to warmup before practice, games,

and during games. And a more versatile piece of equipment for rehab.
